Advancing the Status of Women Worldwide

Since our beginning in 1980, The Zonta Club of Harrisburg- Hershey has raised money to specifically fund local projects which focus on the improvement and safety of women and children.  We have proudly provided in excess of $137,000 to local agencies providing direct service to women and girls, doing the work of advancing their status.  This is in addition to our contributions to Zonta International to support global efforts on behalf of women. For many of the years, we distributed local grants through a 'request' and 'award' process. Since 2013 the Club has decided to consolidate its efforts and focus on a single organization, with the intent of making a greater difference in addressing their needs.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In May of 2014, 2015 and 2016, The Zonta Club of Harrisburg- Hershey distributed money to our partner organization, Shalom House.
